Correspondence, speeches, congressional committee minutes, photographs, clippings, and other material largely documenting Baird's tenure as U.S. treasury undersecretary, 1957-1961. Also included are the papers of Julian's sons, Duncan Baird and John Baird. John Baird was an aerial gunner in the Army Air Force who flew in combat missions over Northern France and Germany during World War II and received the Purple Heart.
